3 DAYS LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Lake Mburo National Park is a compact game, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the smallest of Uganda’s Savannah National Parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks that have stayed for more than 500 million years ago. The Park habitats over 400 bird species as well as Zebras, Eland, Hippo, Buffalo, Oribi, Impala, Leopard, Hyena, Defassa water buck, Topi and Reed buck. Horse riding in the wildness is one interesting activity that can be done at Lake Mburo National Park hence a good destination for horse riding safaris in Uganda.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Entebbe Airport

On arrival, you will be met by our staff at Entebbe Airport, who will introduce himself to you then help you with your luggage to the car and transfer you to your respective hotels for an overnight stay. He will give you a briefing about Uganda and your travel itinerary hence getting prepared for our 3 days’ lake Mburo National Park horse riding safari. Dinner and overnight stay at;

• Kampala Serena Hotel (Up market)
• Urban by city blue (Mid-range)
• Makerere University Guest House or equivalent (Budget facility)

Day 2: Drive from Kampala to Lake Mburo

Our Lake Mburo national park horse riding safari starts with an early breakfast then set off for lake Mburo national park, we shall have our first stopover at the Equator center for some photography, taking a look and buying African crafts, having refreshments then continue to the park via the lodge for checking in and lunch hence getting prepared for an afternoon boat trip where your assured to view aquatic based animals and birding. Overnight and dinner at;

• Mihingo Lodge, Arcadia Cottages and Mantana Lake Mburo Camp (Luxury option)
• Lake Mburo Safari Lodge, Rakobo Rock (mid-range option)
• Eagles Nest Camp (Budget option)

Day 3: Drive from Lake Mburo to Kampala

Having had breakfast we head for a horse ride in the park to see Zebras, Topis, Impalas, water bucks among others then return to the lodge/camp for lunch and hence set off for a game drive as we proceed to Kampala city as we mark an end towards our 3 days lake Mburo national park horse riding safari.
